Every apartment has an Energy Rating A, which means lower running costs and lower CO2 emissions than an older property of the same size. This comes from an improved thermal envelope: thicker façade and roof insulation, window frames with a thermal break, and low emissivity glazing. Domestic hot water is produced by an aerothermal system, which uses renewable energy and is more efficient than a conventional electric water heater. Each apartment also has individual mechanical ventilation, extracting from the kitchen and bathrooms and drawing fresh air through the bedrooms and living area. Estimated energy savings reach up to 85% compared with an F rated property.

The site sits on a hillside above La Cala de Mijas, on the Costa del Sol. The town centre is 2 minutes by car and the beach is under 2 kilometres away. A supermarket, the health centre, primary and secondary schools and the restaurants along the coastal boulevard are all within a five minute drive. Several golf courses are close by, including La Noria, Calanova, Chaparral and La Cala Golf. The A-7 coastal road and the AP-7 motorway are both nearby: Fuengirola is 8 minutes, Torremolinos 18 minutes, Málaga airport 20 minutes and Marbella 25 minutes. Gibraltar airport is 60 minutes.
